Annual Meeting & Dinner

The last event of 2019 is our Annual Membership Meeting to be held this year in the Monterey/Carmel area.  The weekend, being planned by Committee Co-Chairs Iren Jenny and Barbara Foster with help from Carmel local Dave Lyon, Sally & Bob Mullarkey, Annie Hill and President Bobby Gaestel & Teri Parker will start on Friday around 3 pm on November 8th at The Horizon Inn and Ocean View Lodge in Carmel. We will have a bungalow, specially reserved for our hospitality room, where cocktails, munchies and camaraderie awaits you.

Friday evening we’re going to an old favorite, Baja Cantina. We cannot tell you how many of you have mentioned how much fun we had there a few years ago; salsa, chips, tacos,  margaritas, piñatas, games, you name it, we’ll have it! Afterward, the hospitality room back at the hotel will be available to those of you who are not ready for bed.  Note that we can only take 60 people in the private room. Unfortunately we’ve met the 60 person limit so if you sign up now, you can eat in the main restaurant and join us afterwards for fun games!

Saturday, during the day, will be chock full of great drives, views, a visit to a vintage motorcycle showroom, a BBQ lunch and whatever else the area has to offer.

Saturday evening we will all gather at the Monterey Elks Club with views of the Bay, great food and drinks, and our Annual Meeting, dinner and passing of the baton.

Sunday morning bright and early we will cruise down the 17 mile drive, stopping at the Lodge at Pebble Beach for mimosas, scones and photo ops on the lawn!

Both of the above hotels are FULL.  So, just to be sure everyone has a chance to join us for a great weekend, we have reserved a third hotel only a couple of blocks from our designated hotel.  Eleven rooms have been blocked at the Hofsas House Hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea for our event on November 8, 2019 for two nights.  Address is North of 4th street on San Carlos, prices are very affordable ($155 – $215 per night). 1.831.624.2745 or 1.800.221.2548 Just tell them you are with ACBS.

The pricing above includes a continental breakfast and they do not charge extra for parking and WIFI access.  Added to the room prices above will be 11% tax and a $1.00 per day assessment.  NOTE: There will be a 10 day cancellation period for rooms reserved with our group.  Any changes made to a reservation prior to 10 days before the arrival will not be assessed any fees.  If a change is made to a reservation within 10 days of the arrival date, then a cancellation fee for the first night will be charged.
