What an amazing way to begin your 2020 boating season with your ACBS friends & family at the 30th Annual Bass Lake Rendezvous on Beautiful Bass Lake on May 15-17. Come join in on the FUN and have a toast with us in Celebrating our 30th Anniversary at this amazing little lake that is just 17 miles away from all the Magic and Beauty that Yosemite National Park has to offer. With all the early rain & snow we have been receiving this season, Bass Lake and all the amazing waterfalls in Yosemite will be a stunning site to see. So, if you can add an extra day to or so to your plans, make sure to add Yosemite National Park to your agenda.
Make your reservations at our host hotel, The Pines Resort (or any other lodging suggestions listed below) ASAP so you don’t miss out on a truly memorable weekend.
After you have checked into your lodging, you can launch your boat at either The Pines Marina ($10.00) or at the Dam (Free) across the lake just past Millers Landing. We have free trailer parking at The Pines Resort just above the Bass Lake Village parking lot. We will also have 50 boat slips available on the dock next to the boat launch at the The Pines Marina for our ACBS Boat Show on Saturday through Sunday morning donated by the Pines Resort & Pines Marina. Any other overnight boat slip fee’s are the boat owners responsibility. Also, DO NOT PAY the boat inspection fee ($50.00) before launching your boat as this has been waived for our event thanks to the Bass Lake Lions Club. There are no pre-assigned boat slips for your boat, so pick any empty one that suits your fancy; though, we do try and keep the end of the dock for on & off loading and the larger triple cockpits.
Come join in on the fun starting with a great Hotdog BBQ at Millers Landing @ 5:30 pm Friday night, sponsored by the SoCal Chapter. Good times! Just bring your favorite adult beverage and either an hor d’oeuvre or dessert to share. The So Cal Chapter supplies the rest! What a great way to start your weekend by attending an amazing BBQ on beautiful Bass Lake by way of boat or car. It’s a very nice 25 minute ride around the lake if you can’t or don’t want to go by boat. Hope you can join us for this very fun part of your weekend. Last names beginning with: A-M, bring hors d’oeuvres or salad / N-Z, bring dessert.
You may pick up your boat show packets at this time from Bobby Gaestel, Teri Parker, Bob Newcomer, John Maddox or a Lion’s Club member.
After the BBQ, enjoy a fantastic Sunset Cruise back to The Pines Resort to dock your boat for the evening. Be reminded that you MUST go counterclockwise around the lake and stay outside the orange buoys at speed. ALSO, there is a 5 MPH speed limit on the lake between Sunset and 8:00 am.
Saturday morning @ 7:45 am we are having a simple continental breakfast with coffee, juices, donuts and many other tasty breakfast treats dockside at The Pines Marina. The Boat Show starts at 9:00 am Saturday morning sponsored by the Bass Lake Lions Club and runs until 4:00 pm. Hope you can participate in the boat parade and fly-by at 10:45 am Saturday morning for this very fun gathering on the lake. This gives spectators around the lake a chance to view our amazing Antique & Classic boats in action. During the boat show, we encourage you to fire up your engines and maybe take your friends out for a short cruise or ice cream run. Some great suggestions for lunch during the weekend are “Ducey’s on the Lake”, Millers Landing, The Forks, or try the amazing burgers at The Marina Bar & Grill at waters edge overlooking the boat show.
This is the 30th year that both northern and southern California ACBS Chapters have gotten together at Bass Lake to help support the many wonderful things that the Bass Lake Lions Club does for their community. Thanks for all of your support!
After the Boat Show there is an awesome sunset dinner scheduled at The Pines Resort starting with a no-host cocktail party @ 5:30 pm with dinner following at 6:30 pm. Come join us for a beautiful view of the lake while enjoying your cocktails and dinner from our private location overlooking the water.
Sunday morning starts off with our Annual Poker Run @ 9:00 am…lots of fun for all! Sunday morning brunch and awards start right after the Poker Run @ 10:30 am at The Pines Resort overlooking the lake.
Hope you can join us for the 30th Annual Bass Lake Rendezvous to view some of the finest antique and classic boats on the west coast, and, if you can, try to take an extra day or so to visit the beauty and magic of Yosemite National Park, only 17 miles away.
Great times, great memories, great friends! What an amazing way to start out the 2020 boating season!
Teri and I, along with the SoCal ACBS Chapter hope everybody comes and has a Fun and Relaxing weekend at Beautiful Bass Lake!
