First Ever Boat Show on the San Joaquin River
at The Stockton Sailing Club
4980 Buckley Cove Way in Stockton
July 28, 2018 10:00am – 4:00pm
FREE to the Public

It’s been several years since our Chapter of ACBS has hosted a boat show at a new venue.  The Stockton Sailing Club contacted us wondering if we’d like to have an event on the San Joaquin River overlooking their beautiful club house.  After some research, President Layne Davis and Membership Chair Don Leutz presented the idea to the Board of Directors.  The idea received a positive vote from the Board so the planning began.  Joel Castro joined Layne and Don in the planning of this one day show.  The cost is very affordable with a launch fee of $15, an entry fee of $30 per boat and Saturday night BBQ Ribs dinner at $25 a person.

Not only is this  the first time ever that the Northern California/Lake Tahoe Chapter of the ACBS is coming to the San Joaquin River to host a boat show, but it is Free to the public and will also offer the opportunity to enter a free raffle to win a boat ride. There will be several winners per hour.

Guests at the Wooden Boat Classic will have the opportunity to stroll through the sponsor and charity booths and buy a memento of the day in the Antique & Classic Boat Society’s Ships Store.  Snacks, drinks and a barbecue lunch will also be offered for sale by the Stockton Sailing Club.  Members will be able to sign up to bring a boat,  dinner Saturday evening at the Club.

Our goal is to bring together people with a common interest in historic, antique, and classic boats for the purpose of sharing fellowship, experience and information, and to provide a forum for education related to vintage boats. We want to promote, further, and encourage a love and enjoyment of all aspects of historic, antique and classic boats and boating.  Join us as a member at this fun new event or as a visitor!  See you on July 28th!
