Our Chapter of ACBS is a 501c3 non-profit organization which allows us to support or accept support from other 501c3 non-profits with projects that meet our mission. With that, Tahoe Maritime Center – Museum & Gardens has made a wonderful offer to our membership. They are offering these standup paddleboard classes at Museum Member pricing exclusively to ACBS NC/Lake Tahoe Chapter! This is a $250 savings!
If you don’t want a paddleboard for yourself, think about your grandchildren. If they are at least 15 years old, for an additional $350, they can attend the workshop with you and help you build the board! A great opportunity for both of you! Here’s the information.
Tahoe Maritime Center’s Wooden Paddleboard Building Course returns for TWO sessions in 2019! The course will use Chesapeake Light Craft paddleboards, which are built from marine plywood using a stitch and glue method. Tahoe Maritime Center is honored to have Larry Froley, from Gray Whale Paddle in California and Kaholo paddleboard co-designer, as the instructor for this course. Participants will choose from either the 12’6” board (better for smaller paddlers), or the 14’ board (better for larger paddlers). Participants will also have the choice to build prone paddleboards – the San O’ 14’ or 16’. We can help select the proper board. These boards are great for touring or even racing, as they each fit in common race categories.
