The 41st Annual Antique and Classic Boat Society’s International Boat Show is being held Friday & Saturday, September 23rdand 24th, from 9am – 4pm at Sierra Boat Company, Carnelian Bay, CA. Gate admission is only $10 per person, and kids under 12 free.
Sponsored by the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS), this exciting UNIQUE show only happens in Tahoe every 10 years and will feature more than 66 UNIQUE vintage and classic watercraft from North America: Maybe Not II and Dixie Baby award winning vintage racers, Redhawk Chris Craft Model 3 Runabout, Big Boy triple cockpit V-12 Garwood, Billie Bea II torpedo stern triple cockpit speedster, Lunadanza Riva Aristan and My Lil Woodie Trojan Sea Queen are a few of the truly special boats at the show. This show has attracted significant examples from as far as Milan, Italy and Sweden, to our world renowned Lake Tahoe. With these floating works of art, we are expecting an epic gallery of on lookers to pay tribute to the craftsmanship of an era gone by, that continues to be honored today.
Big Boy (above) is 1 of only 10 Gar Wood triple cockpit Custom Runabouts that were equipped with this powerful V-12 engine, only 7 are still known to exist. The first was delivered in August, 1934. Six of the 10 original high powered triple cockpit Gar Woods were sold by Jake Obexer, Lake Tahoe, CA.
