If you missed this show, you missed the best South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic ever!
We had 86 boats, a BIG crowd, and an array of boats that has surpassed all shows at Lake Tahoe in recent years. The Trophy Room was a much visited addition with Redskin, a 1913 custom racing launch and Redskin II a 3 point hydroplane from the Tahoe Maritime Museum collection, wine tasting with the Boatique Winery, and Houston Girl, a 1928 17′ custom Hacker racing hydroplane. Along with all of that was a large collection of racing photos and trophies from the Danny Foster Collection. On the docks, the hydroplane owners turned their keys for all to hear the spectacular engines roar! What a great two days! Thank you to the South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic committees and volunteers who worked all year long to put this great show together for our members, the public and for the Tahoe basin not-for-profits who benefit from our philanthropy.
